Fr. Kenny Aquino is the SPIRITUAL DIRECTOR of The Anawim, Inc. A priest of 20 years, Fr. Kenny was ordained to the Archdiocese of Caceres in Naga City Philippines. Living and ministering to the spiritual needs of the community moved him to start The Anawim of Caceres, Inc. with the desire to help disadvantage children. In 2004, Fr. Kenny moved to the Diocese of Orlando but continued to hold the children of Caceres close to his heart with financial support raised through private donations and the fund-raising efforts of the Filipino Community in Orlando. Fr. Kenny was incardinated in 2009 and is presently serving the parish of Our Lady Of The Lakes- Deltona.

Liza Gonzales is the Chairperson of the Board of The Anawim, Inc. Having been born in the Philippines, Liza witnessed the plight of the underprivileged that created in her heart a love for the poor. Liza is married to Patrick, her husband of over 31 years and considers their 3 children as God’s greatest blessings. She is active in Women’s Emmaus, the Filipino Ministry of Holy Family, the Families of Christ Jesus Community (FCJC) and Holy Family Parish in Orlando where she and Patrick belong. Liza also manages the practice of Patrick at Southwest Orlando Family Medicine where they continue to share God’s love and blessings to many others.

Frank D. Marquinez is the Treasurer and Accountant of The Anawim, Inc. He migrated to the USA from the Philippines in 1972, lived and worked in New Jersey for eighteen years and has been a resident of Orlando, FL since 1990. He attends masses and novenas at the Shrine/Basilica of ‘Mary, Queen of the Universe’.Frank is married to his beautiful and loving wife Nitz since 1971, has three grown children and four grandchildren. He had been an active member of the Couples for Christ ministry for six years and now an active member of the ‘Families in Christ Jesus Community’ ministry since 2004. Also currently serving as Treasurer and Accountant for the FCJC of Central FL Inc. ministry.

Tess C. Marut is the Secretary of the Board of The Anawim, Inc. Tess’ expertise as a private school administrator combined with her experience as a teacher at the Vietnamese Refugee Center in Bataan, Philippines during the early 80s made her very sensitive to the predicament of the needy while maintaining her practical approach in life. She and her husband Ron are both active in Parish Centered activities and ministries.
