INSPIRE
A VISION IS BORN. THE WORD ANAWIM STANDS FOR “THE POOR OF YAHWEH” OR “THE FORSAKEN PEOPLE OF GOD”. THUS, THE ANAWIM OF CACERES, INC., WAS FOUNDED TO SERVE THE POOR AND THE UNDERPRIVILEGED GUIDED BY THE SPIRIT OF CHARITY UNDER THE PROTECTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY.
THE INSPIRATION TO HELP OUR BENEFICIARIES WITH THE DAY-TO-DAY CHALLENGES THEY FACE.
INCOME Average income per family is less than $100 per month for their daily subsistence.
LIVELIHOOD Agriculture and fishing are the main sources of livelihood and the parents of the children work as day laborers.
HEALTH Malnutrition and health concerns are major challenges due to very limited financial resources, inadequate medical facilities and lack of comprehensive health education.
RELIGION Deep seated religious fervor exists among the people as expressed in their devotions but needs to be reinforced by religious instructions.
EDUCATION There is a significant number of student drop outs in grade school and high school because parents prefer to send their children to work to augment their income.
NURTURE
OUR MISSION IS TO NURTURE THE GOD GIVEN TALENTS OF THE CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES BY PROVIDING THEM WITH THE NECESSARY TOOLS FOR THEIR HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT.
The vision of The Anawim Inc. is being implemented by lay volunteer workers both here and abroad and the religious sisters. The Anawim Inc. works in the Archdiocese of Caceres, Bicol Region, Philippines.
We continuously work together and put our philanthropic efforts to bring a smile to a child, send them to school, feed them, provide them with an annual medical and dental check up and be their spiritual guides and partners in their religious formation.
OUR NURTURING PROJECTS FOCUS ON THE FOLLOWING
RELIGIOUS INSTRUCTION
Religious instructions are given every Saturday to parents and children.
SCHOOL AID
School and tuition fees are covered for the whole year, including school supplies, shoes, bags, umbrellas, uniforms, and tutorial instruction.
MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE
Medical and dental programs to ensure better physical well-being are provided on a yearly basis.
NUTRITIONAL FEEDING
Daily feeding program, housing aide and holiday cheers.
LIVELIHOOD ASSISTANCE
Livelihood and training programs are given to parents to help augment their family's needs.
